Casey B. Austin, DVM

Dr. Casey Austin earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Tech in 2010 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. She began her career in mixed-animal practice at the Luray Clinic of Veterinary Medicine, providing care for cattle, horses, sheep, goats, swine, dogs, and cats throughout the Shenandoah Valley. While she values the diversity that mixed-animal practice offers, her passion for companion animal care led her to focus exclusively on small animal medicine and surgery. For the past six years, Dr. Austin has practiced small animal medicine at Massanutten Animal Clinic in Harrisonburg, VA, with a special interest in preventive care, client education, and helping pets live long, healthy lives.

Dr. Austin is passionate about building strong relationships with pet owners and believes that effective communication is one of the most important aspects of veterinary care. She strives to partner with families to help them make informed decisions and provide the highest quality care for their pets through every stage of life.

As a lifelong resident of Page County, Dr. Austin is honored to serve the community she calls home. She is excited to bring her experience and passion for veterinary medicine to Mill Creek Veterinary Practice and to care for the pets and families of the Shenandoah Valley for years to come.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Austin enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, helping on her family’s beef farm, listening to live music, and cheering on the Virginia Tech Hokies. Most evenings, she can be found attending one of her children’s sporting events or at Zumba class. She and her husband, Tyler, are proud parents of their daughter, Caroline, and son, Joel, and share their home with two cats, Fanny and Bessie.
